We definitely want it back and enhanced. Since it was removed, we have no means of visualizing how ARM has channelized our infrastructure. The overlays allow for quick detection of areas that are participating in co-channel interference. Without the overlays, it requires a lot of manual work and note taking.

I'd like this enhanced to be able to not only hone in on band (2.4ghz, 5ghz) as you could before, but also be able to select specific channels. "Show me all channel 1" for instance.

We use it in order to custom the channel streamed by each access point. Sometimes on the devices, "least-congested" or "ACS" command is not the best choice. We use the channel overlay to check if channels are correctly set on the whole place. This permit to avoid interference.
